Lakeside Vista Restaurant & Tavern

Great bar and food spot on Otisco. Otisco means water that has all dried up or close to it. But this lake was dammed and now perfect for fishing and boating. This bar has amazing views and good food and drinks for a good price. Fried shrimp and cold beer.

Contrary to the last review, The Lakeside Vista is such a great place to go.Hands down the best bar/restaurant around.I’m sure depending on what was ordered, the possibility of something greasy is a possibile.I wasn’t there when this happened however, whenever I’ve gone to any other restaurant or even a wine tasting at all Wineries you do need a reservation for 8 in a group.I also want to address being uncomfortable with the patrons.Knowing that the SU game was on today, and never feeling uncomfortable with anyone at the bar, there is a possibility that they were riled and talking amongst themselves.From past experience most tavern patrons do not pay attention to the diners.On a different note, the best desserts ever!!!

Great food. They have a really nice outside sitting area. Two decks that overlook the lake.

I was finally able to make it to this restaurant after wanting to come for years and I can't believe it took me this long to come. This place has arguably the best waterfront view in CNY with two outdoor decks and an indoor dining room to get those views. The food was great and they have an extensive drink list, including wine flight options. The service was attentive and helpful with any questions we had. With the cherry on top, they do live music as well.

This place was GREAT! It's over an hour away and I would go back today if I could. The service was quick and friendly. The view overlooking Otisco lake was beautiful, even though it was a stormy day. The food was absolutely fantastic! Taste, presentation, size and price were perfect. Highly suggest giving this gem a try.

Burgers and sweet potato fries are delicious and pretty good price!

The staff was very polite and attentive. The restaurant adheres to state guidelines for Covid-19 and clearly has concerns for their staff and patrons. The view is lovely! Definitely would come again!

Amazing view of Otisco Lake ! Enjoyable bands! Food is outstanding and drinks made up right! During this difficult year finding staff they found top notch people to serve and the owners are great people! (6 months later) Our dream come true we pulled up to the beautifully expanded dock with our new pontoon boat and had dinner and drinks! No better way to top off a great day on the lake!
